We are currently accepting applications for the following positions:

1.
Job title: Instructors for volunteers to be dispatched to developing countries
Languages:
English, French, Spanish, Russian, Kyrgyz, Uzbek, Laotian, Thai, Chinese , Vietnamese, Indonesian, Mongolian, Khmer, Arabic, Singhalese, Nepali, Urdu, Bengali, Portuguese, Hindi, and Swahili

Course Period
: About 2.5 month (April-, July-, Oct-, and Jan-)
Working day:Monday-Saturday
Teaching hour:5hours/day
Location: Nihonmatsu, Fukushima  or Komagane, Nagano
Accommodation:free apartment provided (utilities not included)

<Qualification Requirements>
The ideal candidate should be a dedicated team worker who is able to begin teaching in July 2009. Additionally, he/she must possess an undergraduate degree from an accredited university and experience in teaching Japanese national. Preference will be given to those with experience teaching intensive language programs in Japan.

Job title: Instructors for Private lessons held at Berkeley House in Ichigaya (Part-time)
Languages:
Arabic, Bengali, Bulgarian, Burmese, Cantonese, Catalan, Czech, Danish, Dutch, English, Finnish, French, German, Greek, Guarani, Hebrew, Hindi, Hungarian, Indonesian, Irish, Italian, Japanese, Khmer, Korean, Kyrgyz, Lao, Malay, Mandarin, Mongolian, Nepali, Pashto, Persian, Polish, Portuguese, Punjabi, Romanian, Russian, Serbo-Croatian, Sinhalese, Slovak, Spanish, Swahili, Swedish, Tagalog, Tamil, Thai, Turkish, Ukrainian, Urdu, Uzbek, and Vietnamese

Responsibilities:

We often have students who need to intensively study designated languages before they leave for their overseas assignment. The students come to Berkeley House 1- 5 days a week. Once you register with us, we can contact you with further information when your language is in need.

3.
ASSISTANT LANGUAGE TEACHER (ALT) Job Responsibilities (general):

The ALT will be assigned to a public or private school (elem., jr. high, high school) to assist Japanese English teachers in classroom instruction of English. The ALT may also be involved in the school's English club. Job Requirements: The ALT is required to have a college or university degree. Japanese speaking ability is preferred. Applicants should be very energetic and enthusiastic. Applicants with specialized English education (i.e. TEFL certification) will be looked upon favorably.

Job Title: ENGLISH TEACHER (Full-Time) Job Responsibilities (general):

English Teachers will be assigned a wide variety of classes to teach. The teacher may be required to teach business English classes, conversation classes, public school classes or others. Full-time teachers will teach 23+ hours per week. Job Requirements: A college or university degree. At least two years teaching experience. Applicants should be very energetic and enthusiastic. Applicants with specialized English education (i.e. TEFL certification) will be looked upon favorably.

5.
Job Title: ENGLISH TEACHER (Part-Time) Job Responsibilities (general):

English Teachers will be assigned a wide variety of classes to teach. The teacher may be required to teach business English classes, conversation classes, public school classes or others. Part-time teachers will teach 1-22 hours per week.
